Bradbourne Mill

The Water Mill at Bradbourne is the oldest surviving corn mill in Derbyshire.  The mill dates back to circa 1180 and here is evidence of Roman occupation at the site.  The current buildings have been lovingly restored to showcase how the mill worked.

On July 18th 2023, the society visited Bradbourne Mill for a tour inside and out, including,

  • A demonstration of both wheels
  • Views of the internal workings
  • Informative talks from the owners
  • A walk along the mill race.
