24th March 2026
The first “informal” meeting was well attended, and it was agreed by all that we should continue to hold monthly meetings on the last Tuesday of each month in the British Legion.
Ian Pitts provided a hands-on introduction to various resources available to the society including tithe maps and estate sale documents. Ian also provided a brief explanation of the methods used to research the history of buildings in the village and their former inhabitants.
A discussion about potential activities and events was well received, as was the concept of partnering with other local groups.
