Treasure in Parwich
In March 2018 ‘Treasure’ was found by metal detectorists in Parwich at the site of a possible bronze-age barrow. After a long wait owing to the processing, examination and investigation of the finds, and a little thing called the Covid Pandemic, on Tuesday 24th October 2023 we were finally able to present our ‘Treasure’ and welcomed a number of experts to Parwich to tell us more about what was found, where they were found and why they were there… click here for the full article including images of the ‘Treasure’…
The Chambers at Nethergreen Farm
The Society has been investigating two mysterious chambers at Nethergreen Farm. What are they? What were they used for? .
The two chambers have been dug into the soil next to each other. They are roughly 4m long , 0.75m wide, and 1m deep. They ruin north-south and have walls consisting of limestone blocks with mortar joints.

April 2021 update:
We have started to investigate a slightly wider area. We’ve stripped back the grass to the north of the chambers to reveal a platform made up of limestone blocks.
